I also love entering puzzle competitions, whether from the daily paper or those magazines that get handed out at train stations (I always pick these up, you never know where a competition may be hiding!). Even if you don't win the actual prize, you're keeping those brain cells going and resting your eyes from the screen for a bit.
So what better way to try and encourage people to enter these types of competitons than have a competition (even though it's ironically online) to win some stamps? And not just any stamps, Shakespeare stamps! Beautiful writing, classic words and most importantly...get's your mail where you want it to go.
To win these stamps, enter via the Gleam app below.
Luck and Love,
Laurie
I love the thought of their being more postal comps! I also just love writing snail mail in general and sending postcards, so much more personal than an email, i think :) A comping question I'd love to know is---are their any good comping apps for phones and tablets? I've heard of Wamo, but would love to know if there are any more out there :) thanks for the great comp btw :D
ReplyDeleteI used to do lots of postal entries years back when postage was less extortionate. I'd like to know what the odds are of winning different types of comps- especially web ones where it's difficult to know how many entries there are.
ReplyDeleteI still like to do postal comps when they come around, there is something satisfying about popping them in the post box. My husband always laughs at me because I like the taste of envelopes
ReplyDeleteYes, I'd like to know what postal comping looks like now; whether it's still getting the entries, that kind of thing, as well as if it's worth doing, I suppose.
ReplyDeleteI still enter about 20 postal comps per month but I do miss the entry forms and slogan comps that were popular about 25 years ago when I first started comping. The comps today seem too easy, so the entry numbers increase and the odds of winning decrease! What do others think?
ReplyDeleteI used to do postal comps ages back, but the cost of stamps is now prohibihative compared to what you win, and I do prefer just spending an hour or so online, answering questions using google, cos if you don't know the answer, where do you go lol!!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see a comp for male fragrances that ladies find their favourites.
ReplyDeleteYou like the taste of envelopes?! I suppose that's no weirder than my phobia of getting a paper cut on my tongue!
ReplyDeletemy question is do you increase your chances of winning a comp by clicking tick boxes for offers from the promoters/ third parties?
ReplyDeleteFor retweet competitions, should you also comment?
ReplyDeleteI wish there were more postal comps as well!
ReplyDeleteI'm always wondering if clicking to get information from a competition provider will mean that I stand a better chance of winning.
ReplyDeleteI love postal entry comps as you can be creative as possible.☺
ReplyDeleteI would like to know about retweets if they see added comments and if they make a difference
ReplyDeleteDo you have any tips for entering Instagram and Twitter comps without spamming your friends?
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that puts me off postal competitions is the price of the stamp. Do you think that this means postal competitions will have less entries and therefore more chance of winning
ReplyDeletewould love to see more selective options for comps
ReplyDeleteI would love tips on tie breaker questions. Or how to find instagram competitions easily.

ReplyDeleteI would love advice on how to answer caption competitions! Also the secret to twitter wins....I have never, ever won anything on twitter so must be doing something wrong as I know loads of people who do win on there...hheeellllppp!
ReplyDeleteDo you think you have has much chance of winning a comp if you send postcard to a Phone-in one as you do if you phone?
ReplyDeleteHello there! I wondered what you thought the biggest waste of time in relation to entering comps that people might be doing?. Happy winning! Deni x
ReplyDeletemy friend collects stamps would love to win these for him
ReplyDeleteWriting letters started when I was 7 in Junior School when we were all encouraged to have pen-pals. Over the years I have met lovely people through being pen-pals, my love for writing increased and has never faulted. I splash out on the best stationery and thrill at the words spreading across the pages. Now nearly 70 I still write letters- am I old school? Yes, I am and proud of it.
ReplyDeleteTips for finding local competitions would be good :) Nothing wrong with old school - I hope the art of letter writing never dies, though I fear it already has :-\
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your video, thanks.
ReplyDeleteLike others, I stopped entering postal comps because of the high cost of stamps.
I would appreciate help with Rafflecopter entries. I can see how to enter if there is a space for my name Name/URL) but, if not, how do I enter?
Brilliant giveaway idea...for a great Bard lover !
ReplyDeleteThank you. I've only recently started doing comps and have already joined your Facebook group. As most competitions are geared towards women, what are your thoughts on guys entering, even when the prizes are specifically for the ladies? I've been giving such prizes to friends and family, even though I've only won a couple so far :-)
ReplyDeleteHow do you prioritise comps, is it best to concentrate on twitter and facebook, or use competition sites?
ReplyDeleteAdvice on how to use pinterest? Thank you for the lovely giveaway xxx
